Fountain pen

Ara’s never really been into the arts—painting and poetry don’t interest her much. We're quite different that way. I’m not into painting either, and I wouldn’t say I have any artistic talent. I only know technical drawing. But one thing she truly loves is cursive writing. Her parents enrolled her in cursive handwriting classes when she was younger, along with piano and violin lessons, among others. She has an impressive collection of pens, and I’ve always encouraged her to teach our kids how to write in cursive. It’s such a beautiful skill to pass down. I’ve been thinking—it might be a nice gesture to get her a new pen as a little welcome-home gift after her short work trip.

Yes, she wrote me letters, sweet little memos, and heartfelt love notes—all in her beautiful handwriting.
