Kak Ain

She hugged me tightly and cried a lot. She appeared a bit thin and tired. Despite still battling depression, she manages to smile and be as cheerful as ever. Holding my hand, she complimented my lovely family. She mentioned that her husband, Takeshi, is still with her. They are married but living apart because Takeshi is looking after his elderly parents in their own home. Kak Ain visits him on weekends. Takeshi has resigned. He now works independently.

In a private conversation, I told her to think about adopting a child to feel happy again. She said she will think about it but might not do it. I'm staying at a hotel Her new place only has two rooms. She sold her old apartment after her kids died. The sad memories from that time still bother her, so she decided to sell the property and move to a smaller place. She is still at work. We promised to have iftar together at her house. There is nothing I can offer her other than my prayers.
