I didn't go outside. I took some rest. I did some cooking, washed my clothes, performed Sunnah prayers, and spent time reading the Quran. The Quran never fails to be the best companion. It enables me to let go of any anxiety, troubles, or stress I might feel. I took some time to write and jot down notes.
After the Isya prayer, I called Ara, and we had a two-hour-and-a-half-long conversation. She seemed okay, but she appeared somewhat fatigued and burdened with worries. She informed me that she had been avoiding the news recently to prevent further mental strain or overthinking and I comforted her.
Today marked the first time I called Ara since leaving home. The children are faring well. Huda is preoccupied with her final essay, while Umar and Adam are studying for an exam. As for the twins, they are as cheerful as ever. Ara takes them to the garden every morning for their daily butterfly-catching routine.
