The patients from Al-Shifa Hospital have been forced to relocate to Nasser Medical Complex and the European Gaza Hospital. Both of these hospitals were already struggling to cope with a high influx of patients, and the additional transfer of patients from Al-Shifa has further exacerbated the situation, posing challenges for both patients and healthcare workers. The military has persistently targeted the hospital, and now they have shifted their focus to attacking schools.
In al-Shafa Hospital, there are currently 291 patients and 25 healthcare workers. Among the patients, there are 32 infants in critical condition, and 2 individuals in intensive care who do not have access to ventilators. There are 29 patients with serious spinal injuries kowho require continuous medical assistance to move. The hospital faces a distressing situation as many trauma patients suffer from severe wound infections, primarily due to inadequate infection control measures and the unavailability of antibiotics.
In a recent event, the Israeli military deployed tanks to surround and attack Indonesia Hospital in Gaza, resulting in the death of 12 people and causing numerous injuries. Another incident occurred yesterday in which two schools were targeted. One of them was a United Nations-operated school in Gaza, where 24 fatalities were reported. Another tragic incident occurred at Al-Fakhoura school, leading to the loss of 200 lives. Currently, there are numerous bodies on the ground, waiting to be collected.
The brutal attacks on schools and hospitals are justified by the claim of searching for Hamas military bases. However, it is widely recognized that these locations do not house any tunnels, weapons, or similar items. These attacks seem to lack any justifiable reason and demonstrate a disregard for humanity. espite the Palestinian authorities' request for a five-day ceasefire to protect civilians, Israel has rejected the proposal and, rather than halting the attacks, has escalated them.
